Whilst in Glasgow, Professor Stephen Montefort, High Commissioner of Malta, met with Marie and Irene Oldfather to discuss opportunities to strengthen business and trade links between Scotland and Malta.

The meeting explored plans for a forthcoming trade mission to Scotland, with further engagement scheduled in Edinburgh. The discussions reflect a shared commitment to building lasting international relationships that encourage investment, create new opportunities and strengthen the connection between the two nations.

There is enormous potential to strengthen economic ties, encourage collaboration and deepen the relationship between Malta, Scotland and the wider UK.
