This week Marie joined Rona Dougall on STV’s Scotland Tonight earlier this week, (Wednesday 29th January 2025) to discuss Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s major speech on the need for the UK to prioritise economic growth.

Marie, who was joined in the studio by the Fraser of Allander Institute’s Dr Joao Sousa, took the opportunity to point out the Chancellor’s failure to mention substantial investment in Scotland as part of the UK Government’s initiative.

Marie stressed the need to support major infrastructure projects in Scotland, including the urgent requirement for concerted cross-party efforts to prevent the closure of the Grangemouth refinery.
