Marie last night (Wednesday 11^th  June 2025) took part in a panel discussion on STV’s flagship current affairs programme Scotland Tonight, to discuss yesterday’s Comprehensive Spending Review announced by Chancellor Rachel Reeves.

Marie highlighted the crucial importance to the Scottish and UK economy of investment in infrastructure projects.

She also pointed to the fact that there are currently shovel-ready projects in the green economy and just transition sector which are poised for development, but which still need government input to ensure they go ahead, and to guarantee the jobs that come with them are not lost to other countries.
